OILFIELD INFRASTRUCTURE

Location: Badra, Iraq
Architects: Yuri Rostoka, Andrey Rostoka, Pavlo Peker
Total infrastructure budget: 120M USD
Implemented in 2017

In the middle of the desert that has been mined since the Iraq-Iran conflict, an oil field was built consisting of an oil refinery, well clusters and a base camp for staff to live and work. The settlement is designed for 800 people - employees of the enterprise, maintenance staff and security. Given the specifics of the place, active and passive safety measures are provided.
The village is autonomous, independent of external resources. On the territory there is housing, offices, canteens, as well as sports grounds and gyms. Those who wish can even take a walk by the lake. Everything is done so that people can feel comfortable in the middle of the desert, away from their home.
We also implemented part of the factory infrastructure, which includes an office building, a laboratory, a mosque, a first-aid post, a fire station, a factory control center, a police station and technical buildings.
