The rapidly growing energy company KNESS needs to build a new office building creating 300 jobs. One of the requirements of this project is that during the implementation of the project should be without pause. In other words, speed and efficiency is paramount.
After analyzing the territory, we decided to attach the new building to an existing workshop, separated from each other by a firewall. The premises adjacent to the workshop is unable to have windows, however, to give workers daylight, we built light wells that will provide the required lighting.

For the design to meet the task we needed to fulfil several key requirements, first to provide an optimal working space and secondly not to interfere with the existing production site. An additional requirement was a building design with room for future expansion With this in mind the team gathered around the staffing table and delved into the work processes.
The result was a system of rooms, spaces, meeting rooms and recreation areas lit by specially designed lighting wells, with a focus on convenient interactions between divisions, departments and individual employees. For example, development engineers and designers are next to each other, which saves time in solving design issues. The project provides for a whole floor with cafeterias, a conference hall and a terrace where people will have lunch, relax and socialize in an informal setting. On this floor we created a bridge that connects two office buildings – the existing one and the new.
This bridge creates one architectural volume for all the employees. Such an approach to organizing work will not only increase the efficiency of work but will also serve as an additional advantage for the company in the labor market.
